School Property & Student Conduct

• School property includes classrooms, corridors, washrooms, laboratories, libraries, playgrounds, transport vehicles, furniture, equipment, digital assets, and all instructional materials.
• Every student is personally responsible for the care and proper use of school property entrusted to them.
• Any damage caused intentionally, carelessly, or due to negligence will be viewed as a breach of school discipline.
• Writing, scratching, engraving, sticking posters, or defacing desks, walls, doors, windows, or washroom facilities is strictly prohibited.
• Mishandling of laboratory apparatus, sports equipment, musical instruments, or ICT resources will attract strict disciplinary action.
• Students found responsible for damage or loss shall bear the full cost of repair or replacement as assessed by the school authorities.
• In addition to financial recovery, corrective disciplinary measures may be imposed in accordance with the school's code of conduct.
• In cases of collective damage, the responsibility may be shared by the group involved unless the actual offender is identified.
• Loss of school-issued items such as identity cards, library books, uniforms, or digital devices must be reported immediately to the class teacher or concerned authority.
• Failure to report damage or loss promptly may result in additional penalties.
• Repeated acts of negligence or damage may lead to suspension of certain school privileges.
• Damage caused during excursions, events, or transport will be dealt with as per school and CBSE safety guidelines.
• Parents may be informed in serious or repeated cases of damage or misconduct.
• Students are encouraged to report accidental damage honestly to promote responsibility and accountability.
• The school reserves the right to amend these rules in accordance with CBSE directives and institutional requirements.

LIBRARY RULES AND STUDENT CONDUCT

• The school library is an essential academic resource that supports curriculum requirements, independent learning, and the development of reading habits among students.
• Students must observe complete silence and maintain a disciplined and studious environment inside the library.
• Entry into the library shall be strictly according to the allotted library period or with prior permission from the concerned teacher.
• All library materials, including books, periodicals, and digital resources, must be handled carefully and responsibly.
• Marking, tearing, folding pages, or causing damage to library books and materials is strictly prohibited and will invite disciplinary action.
• Books shall be issued and returned within the stipulated time as per the school library rules.
• Students must ensure timely return of books; overdue books will attract fine of ₹ 10 per day.
• In case of loss or damage to a library book, the student shall replace the book or pay the cost as decided by the school authorities.
• Reference books, magazines, and newspapers are meant for in-library use only unless otherwise permitted.
• Students are expected to carry their school identity card/library card while issuing or returning books.
• Personal belongings, food items, and beverages are not permitted inside the library.
• Use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets is prohibited unless allowed for academic purposes under supervision.
• Students must follow the instructions of the librarian and library staff at all times.
• Any act of indiscipline, misuse of resources, or violation of library rules may lead to suspension of library privileges.
• Students are encouraged to use the library regularly to enhance reading comprehension, research skills, and lifelong learning habits.

CODE OF CONDUCT IN COMPUTER LAB

• All students must be accompanied and supervised by a teacher/staff.
• Lab users must sign in and out of the lab on the sheet/register provided by the IT team.
• No food or drinks are allowed in any computer lab. All open and unopened food and beverages are prohibited inside the computer lab.
• Activities in the computer lab that are considered by the supervising teacher/staff to be abusive to the software, hardware, and/or personnel will result in expulsion from the lab and/or denial of future use of the lab.
• No games (online/offline) are allowed in Computer Lab without the consent of the supervisor or staff.
• All software must be installed by IT staff only. All users are prohibited from installing any software on their own. Applications not installed by IT staff will be routinely removed and disciplinary action will be taken against the person who tampered with the computer.
• Any form of printouts should not be done from the computer lab without the permission of the teacher.
• Students should not indulge in “hacking” or attempting to access computer systems without authorization, threatening/harassing email, cyber-stalking, child pornography, vandalism, unauthorized tampering with computer systems, using misleading domain names, using another person's identity and/or identity fraud.

GROUNDS FOR STRICT DISCIPLINARY ACTION

The following acts will invite disciplinary measures:

1. Absence from assembly despite being present in school, absence from class, or unexplained loitering.
2. Scribbling graffiti.
3. Disorderly movement, running, or creating disturbance in corridors or within the school premises.
4. Insubordination, bullying, fighting, or chewing gum.
5. Use of inappropriate or abusive language.
6. Damage to school property or involvement in vandalism.
7. Wearing an improper or incomplete uniform.
8. Bunking classes or school.
9. Possession of books or materials deemed obscene.
10. Misconduct while travelling on the school bus.
11. Misuse of internet facilities in the Computer Lab.
12. Carrying mobile phones or any electronic devices.
13. Use or possession of objectionable substances. Assisting others in such activities will be treated as abetment and may lead to expulsion.
14. Acts such as cheating in examinations, theft, physical aggression, bullying, violence, damage to school property, or violation of cyber laws will be treated with utmost seriousness and may result in immediate suspension or expulsion, depending on the severity of the offence.

Guidelines to be followed in and around the canteen during recess:

• Students must stand in a queue and wait patiently for their turn while purchasing food.
• Running, pushing, or shouting in or around the canteen area is strictly prohibited.
• Students should maintain cleanliness and dispose of waste only in designated dustbins.
• Food items must be consumed within the canteen or designated eating areas only.
• Students are advised to wash or sanitize their hands before and after eating.
• Cutlery, plates, and furniture should be handled carefully and not damaged or misused.
• Sharing of food and water bottles is discouraged to maintain hygiene.
• Students must follow the instructions of teachers, prefects, and canteen staff at all times.
• Any spillage or breakage should be reported immediately to the concerned staff.
• Students must vacate the canteen area promptly and in an orderly manner after recess ends.
